Reschedules and forfeits
-
Reschedules ( from rules and regs document)
-
Only regular League games may be rescheduled.
-
Teams may be permitted to reschedule games if all of the following conditions are met:
-
the non-requesting team agrees to the reschedule;
-
the requesting team pays any required rescheduling fee;
-
the League schedulers are able to find an alternate date, time and field for the game;
-
both teams agree to a date, time and field from the available options provided by the League schedulers.
-
Any reschedule must take place within 2 weeks of the originally scheduled game, and if it cannot be rescheduled in this time-period, the requesting team must either:
-
play the game as originally scheduled; or
-
accept a forfeit of the game.
- Once a game is rescheduled, it is considered to be part of the League’s schedule and may only be rescheduled in accordance with this rule, except that the 2-week deadline from the original game still applies.
-
Failing to play scheduled game:
-
A team who fails to appear for a scheduled game but who gives the League and the opposing team 48 hours notice will forfeit the game and pay any referee fees for the game.
-
A team who does any of the following will forfeit the game and must pay a fine of $50 and pay any referee fees for the game,
-
fails to appear for a scheduled game without 48 hours notice to the League and the opposing team
-
fails to have the minimum number of players dressed and ready within the time allowable for a kick-off thereby causing the cancellation of a game.
