Call up rule

  1. Movement of players (playing up) (from rules and regs document)

    1. Teams are permitted to call up players who are at least 17 years old from U18 Tier II, 7 a-side and Senior C teams - i.e. teams for which Senior B is a higher level, as defined in Soccer Nova Scotia Rule 5.13.9. Players called up are not permitted to play more than five (5) League games with any team from the same club in the League or three (3) games with any team from a different club. Teams may use no more than three (3) call ups per game. A player is deemed to have played in the game if her name is recorded on the game sheet, unless it is also noted that she is listed for suspension purposes only.

    2. For greater certainty, guest players as permitted under Soccer Nova Scotia policies and procedures are not permitted

    3. Any registered player who plays in a League game for a team other than the one registered without a temporary permit, as required by Soccer Nova Scotia, shall be deemed an ineligible player and the team using such a player shall lose each game the player participates in by default.

    4. Players registered in this league will be permitted to play no more than three trial games for any Tier 1 or Division 1Senior A teams.  Games played by a player who has transferred from a Senior A team count toward this limit.  A player is deemed to have played in any game if her name appears on the game sheet.

    5. Players are permitted to be called up for regular league games and Fair Play Cup games only, not play-off, or crossover games.
